Light Hearted Latin Jazzy Reggae Pop

This tune continues to evolve. It began with me thinking about my friend John Rayburn. We met in Chulai Vietnam.
His e-mail followed a few months later by the news of his passing lead to this tune. The last verse continues to change.

There was a girl back in school
I loved with all of my young heart
We were close, the best of friends

So I guess she never knew
If you have the chance to say those words
I recommend you do

Chorus

When you’ve got the chance
G                                         A
Before the chance has passed

Too many times I fell out with friends and family
Through weary wounded soldier's sight
I just see enemies
So I live without their music and
The laughter that we shared
I don't tend to make amends
I'm never quite prepared
